Future City
How It Works
The future city project created a proof of concept for how a city could be managed and analysed both offline and in real-time. The fundamental building block of the system is an advanced geo-specific 3D model of a modern city. On top of this model is placed live streams of information from public and private sources such as the council, police, and highways agencies. These streams are then visualised as discrete points on a map, light projection layers, and heatmaps. The result is a system that can provide new insights into seemingly complex data.
